Someone replied to one of our ads saying, "There is no money in horses, horses are a bad habit at best!" This week's message contains his complete comment and our response. Enjoy!

Transcript for this weeks message

Someone recently responded to one of our ads with these words, "With a lifetime in the horse business, everything from showing quarters and paint to race horses, ranch and roping horses, I can tell you that any and all jobs with horses, except for shoeing, is a starve to death "life. The industry itself and all cases is nothing but entertainment.

There is too much out there competing for the entertainment dollar. Horses at best are a bad habit. The shit you are spreading is just that. Song and dance and snake oil. There is no money in horses. Your promises are just taking advantage of those that do not understand the industry. My pretty pony bullshit. What a load of shit. This in the horse world might work in the life of a hippie somewhere, not with horses.

Our founder Shane responded with this reply. My friend, I appreciate your thoughts. I once thought as you. I choose to believe exactly as you stated. there is no money in horses. I looked around and sought out proof to substantiate my thought. I found plenty and yet I stayed in the horse business. Similar to what you stated about yourself, I have been full -time in the horse industry for 31 years now.

What I have come to know is that the thought I was choosing to believe that there is no money in horses was limiting me. Choosing to think that thought is an excuse. I was using to justify my results. I continued to prove it to be true and to look for proof in the world to prove that I was right. I was using that thought to justify my position and my income that I had created because I wasn't happy with either. When I realized that the thought there is no money in horses was simply a thought that I could choose to think or not, and when I realized this thought was limiting me,

I chose to change my thought to something that served me better. I did, and it has. When I was making the choice to think as you, I could have given 10,000 reasons and examples of why my thought was true. I assume you could easily do the same. right now. Today I can give a bulletproof case for the thought there is an unlimited abundance of money in horses and I continually prove it to be true through my own results and the results I see with people I know in this industry.

There is no value in the debate because the thought there is no money in horses is not a circumstance. It is simply a sentence that one can can choose to think or not, and I have no interest in trying to change how you choose to think. Thirty -one years ago, I left a job I hated to work with horses. I've had many helpful and many limiting thoughts about horses over the years. I am grateful for God's magnificent creation of the horse, and for my life's work thus far. I have been blessed to work in this business for all of these years. Our current program helps people move into work that they're happier with and that's a good thing. I wish you happiness and good fortune with all the thoughts you choose to think.

The reason I chose this for this week's tip is that it's a great example of how we work. The results you and I are creating in this life are a direct result of thoughts. Thoughts we can choose to think or not. What happens most of the time is that we get hung up or stuck because we think our thoughts are hard facts that we can't do anything about when in fact they're changeable thoughts.

And that, my friends, is what we are here to help you navigate. Until next time, remember, You Are Destined For Greatness.
